Set in the rural village of Cheddon Fitzpaine, in the beautiful Somerset countryside, Sunrise Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom cottage full of character and charm, available for weekend and week-long stays and ideal for a break with friends, as a romantic retreat, or just for some time away from home.
Situated less than four miles from the lively town of Taunton and easily accessible from the M5, Sunrise Cottage is approached by a lovely front garden and features a fully-enclosed, pretty back garden with an al fresco eating area. Allocated parking for one car is available in front of the cottage.

DOWNSTAIRS
On the ground floor Sunrise Cottage includes a spacious living room with a large, beautiful inglenook fireplace and wood burner, a smart TV with access to Netflix and other online content, a well-equipped and airy kitchen with a dining area overlooking the garden through large French doors, a utility section and a cloakroom with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is Wi-Fi throughout the cottage.
UPSTAIRS
Upstairs the cottage offers a master bedroom with a beautiful feature fireplace, one further double bedroom with wooden beams, and a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
THINGS TO DO
Hestercombe Estate
The beautiful estate of Hestercombe is just a few minutes on foot or one minute by car. Here you can enjoy fifty acres of lakes, cascades, tranquil dog-friendly woodland walks, temples, a restored, 17th-century watermill complex, the Stables Kitchen Cafe, a shop, and a plant centre. Inside Hestercombe House you will find the beautiful Column Room Restaurant serving quintessentially British afternoon teas and delicious light lunches. Pubs and Dining
There are a number of pubs within walking distance where you can enjoy a drink or a meal. During the winter months we recommend our guests borrow the torches provided at the cottage if they are planning to walk to the pub.

Taunton
The town of Taunton is just a ten-minute drive from Sunrise Cottage and offers all the facilities and shops you might need, including a small shopping centre, pubs, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Those of you wishing to take an evening off from cooking, can head to Cook, where you can find a wide range of delicious, home-style ready meals. A delivery service is available for orders over £30.
Beaches and Walks
For your furry friends, a dog-friendly rocks and pebbles beach is a 25-minute drive away in St Audries Bay.

Sheppy's House of Cider
There is plenty to see and do at Sheppy's House of Cider. You can go on a tour of the facilities or have a tasting session, or simply enjoy a walk in the orchards followed by a lovely meal in the café restaurant. You might even take something back to Sunrise Cottage with you to cook!
Alpaca Walking
The alpaca experience at Stoke Wood Alpacas lasts around two hours and includes a talk about alpacas, their history, etc, a visit to see and feed the alpacas, helping to catch alpacas for haltering, and fun walk around the farm land with up to eight alpacas at a time. Hot and cold drinks and cakes are provided to finish. A lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
